Twilight Times Agency
Twilight Times Agency was formed September 1999 to represent authors of speculative fiction, fantasy artists and web page designers. The literary agency is not currently open to submissions from the general public. The only exception would be those authors who have been published by Paladin Timeless Books, Twilight Times Books, FMAM and/or Twilight Times ezine.

Twilight Times Books
Twilight Times Books was established January 1999 as an Internet epublisher. In 2004, we expanded our operations and evolved into a small trade publisher. Due to an exceptional front list of books, all with four star reviews, the print division of Twilight Times Books launched twenty-one titles in trade paperback in 2004. Over forty titles are currently in print and we plan to release fourteen titles in 2007.

TT Books is now a traditional small trade publisher. By traditional we mean our books have national distribution and the author pays nothing for publication of his/her book. We currently publish literary works that are exemplary, that transcend genres and/or are beautifully written. We are highly selective as to what we will accept for publication.

Our books are distributed internationally through BCH and Florida Academic Press (FAP Books, Inc.). Members of the media, booksellers and retails can download flyers, sell sheets, reviews and chapter excerpts from our media room.

New releases!

Twilight Times Books is pleased to announce the recent release of Behold the Eyes of Light, fantasy by Geoff Geauterre; trade paperback.

Promo blurb: A heroine born of legend travels across dimensional pathways and receives training at the hands of near mythical beings. She will need all the help she can get to save oroomooriss, the great cat world and her home, from extinction.
http://twilighttimesbooks.com/BeholdtheEyes_ch1.html

Reviewer comments: "...a unique tale, blending elements together so effortlessly that it is easy to believe in the worlds he has created and the characters who populate them. The book has a few dashes of humor thrown in as well as the more usual adventures and mysticism of this genre and it was an entertaining as well as thought provoking tale. ~ Reviewed by Annette Gisby, author of "Shadows of the Rose" and "Drowning Rapunzel."

Author Profile: Geoff Geauterre is a retired civil servant with a degree in History and special interests in Journalism and Research. He has lived in Florida, New York, Chicago, Boston, Maine, Montreal, Northern Quebec, Calgary, Northwest Territories, and parts of Alaska. He's said he gained his sense of humor from the back of a mule.

Geoff has traveled to England, France, Greece, Israel, Egypt, Turkey and the Mediterranean Islands. He likes studying Philosophy, Comparative Myths, Legends and Religions. He is also reasonably certain of having gained prior experience in writing in another life. He only hoped it wasn't one that led him to the guillotine!

Cynnador, fantasy by Patrick Welch; trade paperback.

Promo blurb: No one can say who founded Cynnador or when. Even "where" is open to interpretation. It spreads across the vast Istaghian plain, waxing and waning like the tide as merchants appear, pitch their tents, sell their wares and leave. .... No crown claims Cynnador, although several have tried.
http://twilighttimesbooks.com/Cynnador_ch1.html

Reviewer comments: "With its unique structure, a brilliant cast of characters and several unique plotlines, Cynnador places Mr. Welch firmly in my pantheon of great speculative fiction writers. I can't recommend it highly enough." ~ Reviewed By Steve Lazarowitz © for Novelspot.

Author Profile: Patrick Welch received a B.A. and M.A. in English from Bowling Green State University. Proving the value of a liberal education, he has worked variously as a musician, dock worker, insurance salesman, full-time and substitute teacher, free-lance writer and assistant store manager. He has published more than forty stories in e-zines and the small press.

Hudson Lake, historical fiction by Laura Mazzuca Toops; trade paperback.

Promo blurb: In the summer of 1926, jazz lovers from all over the Midwest go where the weather is hot and the music is hotter. They converge on the Blue Lantern Inn, a rural Indiana dance hall in a resort town where the season's resident jazz band features a young cornet player named Bix Beiderbecke.
http://twilighttimesbooks.com/HudsonLake_ch1.html

Reviewer comments: "...captures the intoxicating mix of energy and danger that defined the early days of jazz." ~ Bill Ott for Booklist.

"Hudson Lake is a vivid, poignant, sexy tale of the Jazz Age, built around one of America's greatest and most intriguing musicians. Laura Mazzuca Toops knows her music, and her history." ~ Reviewed by Kevin Baker, author of "Dreamland."

Author Profile: Laura Mazzuca Toops is a Chicago-area writer and teacher with three books in print: A Native's Guide to Chicago's Western Suburbs (Lake Claremont Press), The Latham Loop, and Slapstick (Amber Quill Press). She is a 21st century anachronism who doesn't belong in this time or place. A collector of vintage clothing, 78 rpm records and memories, she teeters on the edge of sanity by balancing her mundane present-day life against the vague memories of the fun times she had back in 1927 in New York, Chicago and another body.

Infinite Space, Infinite God, SF collection by Karina and Robert Fabian, Editors; ebook.

Promo blurb: An anthology of fifteen stories about how the future Catholic Church uses--or fails to use--its faith, wisdom and imagination to grow with the changes of the future. 2007 EPPIE Award winner.
http://twilighttimesbooks.com/InfiniteSpace_ss1.html

Reviewer comments: "Infinite Space, Infinite God is an excellent collection of science fiction short stories. These authors' imaginations are astounding, pulling me into each and every story from the first paragraph, and then masterfully entwining their writings with Catholicism. The characters come alive in vivid detail making each story's uniqueness stand on their own merit. Highly recommended, not only to devoted sci-fi readers, but to those who have never read the genre before." ~ Reviewed by PJ for Scottieluvr's "Chewing the Bone" reviews

Author Profile: Karina L. Fabian is a homeschooling mother of four who writes articles and craft books to bring in extra money and fiction to placate the many characters in her head who insist on having their stories told. Her short stories have appeared in magazines like Eternal Night and in the award-winning Christian SF anthology, Leaps of Faith.

A cradle Catholic and SF geek, she's had a great time thinking about the future of the Catholic Church for Infinite Space, Infinite God, which she edited with her husband, Rob. She finds collaborating with her husband, whether about children, stories, or anthologies, extremely romantic.

Author Profile: Rob is a Lieutenant Colonel in the USAF whose training is in military space operations, but whose career has ranged from ICBM maintenance to speechwriting for the Chief of Staff of the US Air Force. He has written several articles on the military and commercial use of space, the most recent of which appeared in Astropolitics: The International Journal of Space Power and Policy. Rob handles the technical/detail side of the Fabian writing team.

Self-Healing for Everyone with Master Jaee, self-help by Jay Kaymer; trade paperback.

Promo blurb: What is Qi? What is Qi Gong? The Mystic Nine Meditative Exercises. Mystics for Specific Problems and more.

Qi Gong is the science of the mind, meditative movement and breath control that teaches us the fundamentals of self-healing. Properly used, it cleanses our mind and body thus enabling our Qi to fight illness, disease and mental problems such as depression.
http://twilighttimesbooks.com/SelfHealingJaee_ch1.html

Author Profile:  Master Jaee grew up in a midwestern town the usual way... family, friends and school. Also colds, flu, mumps, chickenpox, constipation, diarrhea, headaches and migraines. However, he was late in maturing and was the only person ini his class with glasses. He was known as Mister Four Eyes. Underweight and undersized, he was often the brunt of physical and mental cruelty by classmates. During this period he kept physically active and eventually began to excel in sports.

At the age of sixteen, he noticed that a fellow "book worm" was disappearing two afternoons a week. When he inquired about his activities, his friend informed him that he had enrolled in a Tai Kwan Do martial arts class. Fascinated by this concept, Jaee also enrolled and after three years of intense study, became a First Degree Blackbelt.

After several tournament wins, an oriental gentleman approached him and said he was a Qi Gong Master. He asked Jaee if he was interested in Self-Healing. Of course the idea appealed to him. After all, he was sick and tired of occasional illnesses, even though he considered himself healthy and fit. (Incidentally, the Master wishes to remain anonymous.)

Upon completing eight years of study under the Master, Jaee was awarded a Mastership in Qi Gong Self-Healing. With this award comes the responsibility of teaching others. So, in 1978, he began giving seminars and eventually accepted students... many who are senior citizens that failed to respond to expensive "curatives."

http://twilighttimesbooks.com/GoldenCrusader_ch1.html

Reviewer comments: "...The Golden Crusader is a well-written novel, which pulls the reader gently and willingly into its world. ...all but the most stubborn readers will refuse to be guided along on this supernatural thriller's twisting and intriguing journey." ~ Reviewed by Russel D. McLean for The Crime Scene.

Author Profile:  Linda Langwith was born on an island in the Pacific Ocean. The sea is in her blood, in her dreams and in the stories she writes. Her love of literature inspired her to complete a B.A. Honours and an M.A in English, while her passion for history has drawn her to Europe, England, Scotland and Ireland, to the places which nurtured her ancestors and in turn, nourish her imagination. It was in an old stone cottage in the wilds of Yorkshire that The Golden Crusader was first conceived and it was in Fountains Abbey that she found her crusader's effigy, quite forgotten in a corner of the ruins.

Warp Point, SF suspense by Darrel Bain; ebook.

Promo blurb: An unmanned alien ship suddenly appears from a point in space within the solar system and heads toward Earth. It finally comes to rest in the pasture of an ordinary couple's country home. Immediately upon going inside, they are placed in irrevocable, sole command by the ship's computer. How Dan and Stacy Saddler handle the enormous military, political and religious pressure of choosing a crew and taking the ship back through the enigmatic warp point makes this one of Darrell Bain's most exciting novels.
http://twilighttimesbooks.com/WarpPoint_ch1.html

Author Profile: Darrell Bain is the author of about two dozen books, in many genres, running the gamut from humor to mystery and science fiction to non-fiction and a few humorous works which are sort of fictional non-fiction, if that makes any sense. He has even written for children. For the last several years he has concentrated on humor and science fiction, both short fiction, non-fiction (sort of) and novels. He is currently writing the fourth novel in the series begun with Medics Wild.

Darrell served thirteen years in the military and his two stints in Vietnam formed the basis for his first published novel, Medics Wild. Darrell has been writing off and on all his life but really got serious about it only after the advent of computers. He purchased his first one in 1989 and has been writing furiously ever since.

While Darrell was working as a lab manager at a hospital in Texas, he met his wife Betty. He trapped her under a mistletoe sprig and they were married a year later. Darrell and Betty own and operate a Christmas tree farm in East Texas which has become the subject and backdrop for many of his humorous stories and books.
